About Us
Founded by Mark Smith, a veteran of more than 15 years in the entertainment/media 
fields, Splainers are a reflection of Mark’s background. He has worked as a writer/producer for 20th Century Fox, re-invigorating their historical newsreel archive, Fox Movietone News. Mark served as Director of Advertising for Vail Ski Resorts (their retail division, Specialty Sports Venture, LLC). In addition, Mark ran Huntington Creative Services in Los Angeles, which focused on marketing, advertising and graphic design.
More recently, Mark has run LightBender FX out of Issaquah, Washington (located near Seattle). LightBender FX focuses on delivering compelling motion graphics and special effects to film, television, video, DVDs, web site Flash videos, etc. You can view Mark's LightBender FX reel at www.lightbenderfx.com.
